Distractions & Giggles

So my sweet Miss Ellie had a major operation today......

I'd known it was inevitable for almost a year.

It is safe to say, I fall to pieces when my funny, bright, sparkly side-kick is poorly - and I'm sure she can tell.  She was not impressed when we walked into the vets.  Those big brown eyes look mortified when she saw me hand over her lead to the kind looking assistant and then promptly turn on my heels to exit out of sight........

I needed a BIG distraction today.

 

And boy oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.......... did I get one or what!!!!!

Let me introduce you to my 

not-so-little-baby-anymore-but-a-rather-grown-up-looking-toddler.

 Buddy, when did you get so big and tall???

For over an hour, we played on the bed together.  This could pretty much be the best place on earth when you are in the company of a fifteen month old.

Who forgot to tell me how much FUN this age is???

Dude, check out my quiff!

We cuddled,

wrestled,
grooved to the radio,

played hairdressers,

posed infront of the mirror,

kissed a thousand times,

laughed,

and laughed,

and laughed.

I thought it would never end - until.....

SMACK!!

A bang of the head to the edge of the bedframe.

OUCH!!

Suddenly, we weren't having much fun anymore......

But our tears and wet cheeks were short-lived. 

It was time to pick up our lovely girl.......

..... who is doing okay,

but is still looking very unimpressed.

Month of LOVE - Part 2

We took a trip 'Up North' for half-term break with some good friends of ours.

And it was Valentines Day when we were there.
What better way to share the love, than to do so - one paper heart at a time.

A BIG thank you must be mentioned to our lovely friend Hannah, who patiently stamped out over a hundred hearts the evening before.  It meant I had many, many hearts to bring back home for future use!!

Expect to see one lying around somewhere in a town near you!!
